Fruit Matching is an online game that will have players running against time to match as many fruits as possible to increase their score.
Shift the fruits on the grid to line up, vertically or horizontally, three or more of the same kind, and chop them off. The challenging feature of the game is the time constraint.
You have only one minute to match as many fruits as possible before the game ends. However, the challenge does not need to end so quickly. Every time you match four or more similar fruits, you get some extra time to continue playing and building your score.
Bonus items will also be available throughout the game to help you cope with the pressure and extend your gaming time.

How to play Fruit Matching online
Click the arrow symbol to open a quick tutorial with the instructions. Once you are clear on the rules, click anywhere but the red arrows in the tutorial window to close it and start playing.
Select two fruits standing side by side to switch their position. This move is only possible if the switch results in the connection of three or more fruits of the same kind.
You have one minute to match as many fruits as possible. Matching three of the same kind will only grant you points. However, matching four or more will also reward you with extra time.
Bonus items will appear throughout the game. Every time you match four identical fruits, a bomb will appear in the grid. Click on the bomb to make it explode and chop off the fruits surrounding it.
Matching five identical fruits will prompt the appearance of a wild item that will blink with a sequence of fruits. When you click on it, all the fruits matching the one that was showing the moment you pressed the bottom will be chopped off of the grid.
As your score increases and the chances of matching four or more fruits decrease, you might get lucky and see an hourglass randomly appear in the grid. Click on it to receive 15 extra seconds!
Tips to win at Fruit Matching
Focus on the lower part of the board
The matched fruits disappear from the grid, prompting the remaining ones to fall down to fill in their spots. Focusing on the lower part of the board is a good strategy because each “fall” opens new possible combinations.
If you keep playing only the top rows, new fruits never reach the bottom and the lower part of the grid becomes locked.
Save the bonus items
Bonus items are great to chop off several fruits in one move. For that reason, you should try to match as many fruits as possible first, and only use them when you cannot find any more combinations.
The exception to this is the hourglass bonus, as it cannot be used to remove fruits from the grid and may, in fact, block certain matches by standing in the way.
Gather the bonus items
Saving the bonus items is a good tip for when you do not have more matches left, but also because they are stronger when used together.
For example, the more bombs you have, the more likely it is that they become clustered and the blast of one can reach the others. This means that a single explosion will trigger a chain reaction that will eliminate more fruits from the grid.
The wild item is also more effective when used in a sequence. Once you eliminate one fruit of the grid, there will be more of the other kinds present. Eliminating another fruit right away means that the second wild item will reach more cells of the grid than the first did. A third wild item will chop off even more fruits, and so forth.
Focus on matching more than three fruits
Three is the minimum amount of fruits you need to match to chop them off the grid. However, it is also the least favorable option as it only grants points but does not extend the time.
Matching four or more, on the contrary, will give you more points, more time, and bonus items. Instead of combining the fruits randomly, focus on those matches that open the possibility for longer matching chains.
