Word Swipe is an online word game that will challenge your language skills in ways that you never thought possible!
The game itself is pretty straightforward. All you have to do is to find the words under the clue in the pile of blocks and swipe to remove them. As you take out blocks, the ones remaining will fall down or change position to create different words. If you are on the right way, no letter blocks should remain once you have found all the words.
What makes this game so challenging and fun is that it requires the player to have a vast knowledge of the English language. First, the player must understand the clue and the possible words that it hides. For example, the clue may point to obvious words but also to idioms. Guessing the right words is not fundamental, but it can help with the next step: look for words amidst the letter blocks. These words can be hidden horizontally, diagonally, or vertically.
Then comes the tricky part. Sometimes you can “see” the word, but cannot swipe to write it because they are not yet correctly spelled. In that case, you need to deconstruct the blocks. Find which letters are missing and work from them to find the word that is preventing them from falling into place.
